Kristine Habibi, MS, LPC-Associate
(You can call me Johana)
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who specializes in non-directive play therapy for children ages 2-6 and counseling for adults of all ages. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, academic/career difficulties, sexual issues, trauma, and eating/body image concerns.
I am an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and those with invisible disabilities. I believe that every person can use guidance at some point in their life. Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness but of self-awareness. As a therapist, I treat each of my clients with the utmost level of respect and dignity. It is my goal to create an environment in which each client feels unconditional understanding. I uphold an ethical and confidential practice that revolves around improving the quality of the life of each client.
I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas Houston and am located in Houston, Texas, where I have lived for the past 21 years. I am available for virtual appointments from other cities in Texas as well. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked for three institutions at the elementary, high school, and university levels in which I utilized Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. My hobbies include hanging out with friends, Netflix binging, obsessing over my cats, exercising, and trying new healthy foods. I am so excited to work with you and begin our journey towards a better life.
